To print the selected pages, you simply choose Print from the File menu and click OK. However, before printing, you need to ensure that:

• the spool settings for your printer are set to spool print jobs, rather than to print directly to the printer (this speeds up WebRecord printing);
• you set the page settings you require (see: Changing the appearance of the printed page);
• the Web pages you want to print are selected (that is, the check box to the left of these items is ticked).

Note: Each time you start WebRecord, the paper size and page orientation default to the settings of your default printer.

Changing the Background Color to White

If you want a printout with a plain white background rather than the default sand-colored background, choose Settings from the Options menu, then display the drop-down Print style list on the Appearance tab and click No background color.

  
Producing A Simplified Printout

If your printer is not a bubble jet or an ink jet printer, or if you require a quick printout, you can request a simplified printout. You do this by choosing Settings from the Options menu, then displaying the drop-down Print style list on the Appearance tab and clicking Simplified.

Your simplified printout will have the following characteristics:

• it prints faster and uses less ink than a full-feature print, and
• it does not include background textures and colors.

To disable automatic selection for printing, you do one of the following:

• go to the Options menu and deselect Auto Tick New URLs;
• position the cursor in the print list area with no URLs selected; click the right mouse button to pop up a menu, then deselect Auto Tick New URLs.

Disabling the Print Preview Facility

To disable the automatic print preview facility -- that is, to hide the print preview area -- you do one of the following:

• go to the Options menu and deselect Print Preview; or
• position the cursor in the print preview area, click the right mouse button to pop up a menu, then choose Hide.
